Art this term

🎨ART THIS TERM🎨

Today blog post is going to be about what I have been doing in art this term:

160 words about what I have been doing in art this term at school.

This term in art I have been learning how to do foreground, middleground and background in your art. For that we watched  a video of this artist called Henri Rousseau. Then my art  teacher printed off one of his art works and we had to cut it into foreground, middleground and background out .We got given a piece of paper to put it on  and write if it's foreground, middle ground or background. We have printed it so she can send it to us. Then the next week we drew  one of Henri Rousseau artworks. We went outside to get some things to make our own one with fake bugs flowers and lease then we had to print three  that are different ones. After we did that we had to get some baking paper so we  traced all of the  drawings that we printed on the baking paper. After that we printed them off and  coloured all of them in.

1. What have I enuoyed in art this term? taking time drawing /  tracing my printing that I did on baking paper.

2. Do I think that I have got better at at art because of what I have done in art this term? I  think I have  developed some ckills because what I have done in art this term.

3. By opinion on Henri Rousseau artwork ? In my opition I think that Henri Rousseau paintings are  adveniuaous unique and inspiring.

4. What is something that I have learnt this term in art is ? This it is easier to trac things them baking paper then just normal paper.                                           Here is a picture of  Henri Rousseau

Science Neutralisation

SCIENCE  NEUTRALISATION

Today in science we did neutralisation

Aim: To look at the pH Scale and neutralise acid and alkaline substances using universal

Indicator.

Acids and Bases everyday

Neutralisation Experiment.

> Universal  Indicator

> 1M HCI (Hydrochloric Acid)

> 1M NaOH

> Four test tubes

> Test tubes rack

> Two plastic pipettes.

Method:

1. Take a test tube rack with 1 boiling tube at each end of the rack and four test tubes.

2. Half full the boiling tube at the other end with Hydroxide.

3. Half full the boiling tube at the other end with Hydroxide acid.

4. Fill each test tube with five drops of univeral indicator.

5. Using the pipettes you will add drops of acid of alkaline to the test tubes to make colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue violet.

6. Do not mix up the pipette.

I did all the colours but green.

Litmus paper

LITMUS PAPER

Today in science we did experience with litmus paper.

Litmus is a tree lichen fungi and is made into small paper strips or a liquid for testing acids or allalines.

1. Blue Litmus paper determines if something is aicdic. It tuns red in soluions with a pH less than?

2. Red litmus paper determines if something is alkaline. It turns blue in solutions with a pH greater than 7.

Materials

1. Red Litmus paper

2. Blue Litmus paper

3. Sodium Hydroxide

4. Hydrochloric acid

5. Pipette

6. four test tubes

Steps

One: Rip the litmus paper in half and put half in each test tube 1.

Two: Add 3 drops of hydrochloric acid to the red litmus paper in the tube 2 .

There: Add  3 of hydrochloric acid to the blue litmus paper in test tube 3 .

Four: Add 3 drops of sodium hydroxide to the blue litmus paper in test tube 4 .

Five: add 3 drops of sodium hydroxide to the red litmus paper in test tube 5 .

Maorl Language week.

 MAORL LANGUAGE WEEK

This week is maorl language week and for it we got shared a siled  about what I have to do and I had to do some questions on a DOL  about a vidoe of a maorl that there was a link to on the side that we got send and then put it on our blog. The one that I did is one of this week school bell  for the week.

So here is the DOL that I did with the questions on it.

  • Who or what inspired or motivated the singer/artist/band/musician to record a te reo version of the song? For Maori  language week and because maori is a New Zealand language and it is really important  to know some Maori.

  • What are some of the concerns of the singer/artist/band/musician when learning and recording the te reo version of the song? Some concerns would be if they make a misak and say the english version and not the Te reo Maori version you will have to state  it all again.

  • What advice does the singer / artist / band / musician get from their reo Māori composer / mentor? To do all of the song in Te reo Maori next time.

  • What new meaning / s do the lyrics agin from being in te reo? They sound different Why is this? That they mean the say thing but in Te reo maori.   That they mean the say thing but in Te reo maori.

  • What did you learn about the importance of reo Māori (language) to Māori culture and identity? I learn that using maori language is relly import  to learn who to say some maori words in everyday life.

  • Why is it important to have well known / popular New Zealand songs on the radio in te reo Māori? Because if people now the song in english they mite what to know it it te reo maori  as will as english.

  • What other songs would you like to be recorded in te reo Māori? Girls like you.

SIX60 - Pepeha (Lyric Video) Mp3 Download Fakaza SIX60's beautiful new waiata 'Pepeha' is out NOW and it'll give you goosebumps

Acids

 ACIDS

Today in science we were looking at acids and bases.

What are 3 examples/names of acids:

> Hydrochloric Acid

> sulfuric Acid

> Nitric Acid

> Citric Acid

> Acetic  Acid

> Formic Acid

> arbonic Acid

What know about acids?

1. That some acids are bitter.

2. Rain has acid in it.

3. That can make thing rusty.

What is acid ?

> an acid contains Hydrogen atoms that break of to react with a substance.

> An acid (HA) is a solution that breaks up into: H=and A-

Materiais

1. Red cabbage

2. Beaker

3. Bunsen burner

4. Pipette

5. Sodium Hydroxide

6. Hydrochoric acid
