Today I watch a video about Te Whare Tapa Wha and I had to do some  questions on my blog.

  3.  Why do you think the model looks like a wharenui (house)? Because wharenui means a Maori meeting house.

Bacteria can be  good and bad .

Bacteria can groth everywhere. Inside your cells adapt. 

Bacteria: is inside your cells.

The Women's Suffrage Petition.

THE WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE PETITION 


1. What year did Maori get the vote? 1867, gold miners and Maori man could also vote to declde the government.


2. Why did most people think women should not vote? Because they need to stay home and clan and to bing up kinds and cook meals and take care of there kinds when they are young and don't have school.


3. What does the phrase '' drinking their wages mean? To tried to get the man to stop drinking their wages.


4. How did the WCTU help the the poor? The WCTU help  poor so Anne Ward set up the WCTU (women's christian Temperance Union). 


5. What dose the main from protest that the women used to change the law? The petition because there were lots of women's signatures to ask that women's be allowed to vote.


6. Why is Kate Sheppard on our $10 notes?  because she convinced people in New Zealand in 1870 to allow women to have the rite to vote in election.  for there years they collected 25,000 signatures on a petition to ask that women be allowed to vote. Because she mad it that women can vote in elections.

Today in s I   liren about  some things that have yeast in it. 


What has yeast in things what: Yeast — The Brew Enthusiast

: Bread

: Some cakes 

: Ginger beer

: Mufins

: Yoghurt 

: Chess 

What dose yeast do? I t make things ris up if it  work propely 

Yeast is alive in a hibernation state. It is a fungi.

Aim: To look at how yeast is used in foods.

> Spoons 

> kettle 

> Bowl 

> Beaker

> Cloth Sieve

> Funnel 

> Plastic (PET) bottle and cap.

Materials 

Bug (for a group of 3)

> 5oml warm water.

> 1/2 tsp actlive dried yeast.

> 1/2 tsp ground ginger.

Ginger beer (for 1 Litre).

> 3/4 cup cream of tatar.

> 1/2 cold water.

> Juice of 1/2 lemon.

> 1 tsp ginger beer bug.


Method 

1. In a large bowl ,put the sugar and cream of tartar then add the warm water.
2. Sitr to dissolve the sugar before adding the clod water.
3. Add the giner beer bug to the large bottle.
4. Stir well and then pour into your clean bottle.
5.  Label your bottles with your group name.
6. Place all the bottles in the class container. 
7. Store in a cool' drink place for one week. 
8. Make sure you open the bottle in the kitchen sink as it might overflow. Open the cap bit by bit to allow the air to ecacape.

> The ginger beer must be drunk over the six days.
> You must provide your own bottle.


 We wanted to see how yeast was best activated. To do this we used 3 conical flasks, a teaspoon of yeast in each one, some warm water in each one and some sugar in one flask. Then put a balloon in each flask. We found out that the flask that had the yeast and sugar inflated the balloon. It showed that when yeast has sugar it activates and creates a gas called carbon dioxide gas.

Protest's.

 PROTEST'S 

Today in Nga Tangata we looked at some of the protest's that have took plcas in New Zealand and I write some of them on a pes of paper and all so did are now one.               



1. First 15th March 2019 : The Coordinator for ten of thouands of school students took part. The Strike is the largest of it kind to ever take plce in New Zealand.

2.Then 24st May 2019 : Hundres of thouands of students. The dates coincided the second day of the 2019 European parliament electionin the hope that this protrst actions would have an impact on it.

3.Next 27th september 2019 : Approximately 170,000 people nationwide participated in a third protest. More than 40 events took place around the conutry deanding artions from the New Zealand government. 
 
4. Last 13th November 2019 : The Climarte change Reponse (zero Carbon) Amendmet Act Passed in New Zealand. The agreement New Zealand took when signing theparis in 2016.

5. Today 2021 The Guardiar thousands of famers have descenden on  dozens of two and citles across New Zealand intheir traactors in a nationwide protest against a swathe of New Zealand envionmental regulations.

Chilli Tasting

Today in science we did some more Chilli Tasting.We try some chilli and then we had to have a liwed we all so had to go in a grop of there and we had one likwed eath. I had water. And we have to if it take the tast on of our moth by the liwed we haved and then we had to whrite yes or no.

Water had a small effect inmmediately and had a greater effect after 5 minutes.

Today in sicie we did some chilli Tasting  

1:Definition. Write a definition of chilli. Include a picture of the plant and the name of the chemical that makes chilli's hot.

Section 2: Include 3 pictures of chilli plants. Make sure you name the type of chilli.

To see which is the best way to cool down the hot chillie taste in your mouth when eating chilli.
