Science Neutralisation

SCIENCE  NEUTRALISATION

Today in science we did neutralisation 

Aim: To look at the pH Scale and neutralise acid and alkaline substances using universal

Indicator.

Acids and Bases everyday 


Neutralisation Experiment.

> Universal  Indicator 

> 1M HCI (Hydrochloric Acid)

> 1M NaOH

> Four test tubes

> Test tubes rack

> Two plastic pipettes.

Method:

1. Take a test tube rack with 1 boiling tube at each end of the rack and four test tubes.

2. Half full the boiling tube at the other end with Hydroxide.

3. Half full the boiling tube at the other end with Hydroxide acid.

4. Fill each test tube with five drops of univeral indicator.

5. Using the pipettes you will add drops of acid of alkaline to the test tubes to make colours of red, orange, yellow, green, blue violet.

6. Do not mix up the pipette.

I did all the colours but green.
