MAORL LANGUAGE WEEK
This week is maorl language week and for it we got shared a siled about what I have to do and I had to do some questions on a DOL about a vidoe of a maorl that there was a link to on the side that we got send and then put it on our blog. The one that I did is one of this week school bell for the week.
So here is the DOL that I did with the questions on it.
Who or what inspired or motivated the singer/artist/band/musician to record a te reo version of the song? For Maori language week and because maori is a New Zealand language and it is really important to know some Maori.
What are some of the concerns of the singer/artist/band/musician when learning and recording the te reo version of the song? Some concerns would be if they make a misak and say the english version and not the Te reo Maori version you will have to state it all again.
What advice does the singer / artist / band / musician get from their reo Māori composer / mentor? To do all of the song in Te reo Maori next time.
What new meaning / s do the lyrics agin from being in te reo? They sound different Why is this? That they mean the say thing but in Te reo maori. That they mean the say thing but in Te reo maori.
What did you learn about the importance of reo Māori (language) to Māori culture and identity? I learn that using maori language is relly import to learn who to say some maori words in everyday life.
Why is it important to have well known / popular New Zealand songs on the radio in te reo Māori? Because if people now the song in english they mite what to know it it te reo maori as will as english.
What other songs would you like to be recorded in te reo Māori? Girls like you.
