THE WOMEN'S SUFFRAGE PETITION
1. What year did Maori get the vote? 1867, gold miners and Maori man could also vote to declde the government.
2. Why did most people think women should not vote? Because they need to stay home and clan and to bing up kinds and cook meals and take care of there kinds when they are young and don't have school.
3. What does the phrase '' drinking their wages mean? To tried to get the man to stop drinking their wages.
4. How did the WCTU help the the poor? The WCTU help poor so Anne Ward set up the WCTU (women's christian Temperance Union).
5. What dose the main from protest that the women used to change the law? The petition because there were lots of women's signatures to ask that women's be allowed to vote.
6. Why is Kate Sheppard on our $10 notes? because she convinced people in New Zealand in 1870 to allow women to have the rite to vote in election. for there years they collected 25,000 signatures on a petition to ask that women be allowed to vote. Because she mad it that women can vote in elections.
